Gregory Bonito

Gregory Bonito is an ecologist and recent PhD graduate of Duke University where he completed studies on the evolution and biodiversity of Tuber.

During this time he collaborated and published on Tuber with leading truffle researchers around the world.  His research combines morphological and DNA sequence-based approaches for studying ectomycorrhizal communities and assessing evolutionary relationships between truffle and mushroom species. In this talk, Gregory will lead us on a tour of North American truffle species, including many with commercial potential.
