Jane Morgan Smith

Jane spent 30 years in corporate administration, retiring early from Wachovia Corporation in 2001.  She then studied her craft at Penland School of Crafts in Western North Carolina and the Sawtooth Center for Visual Arts in Winston-Salem, NC.  In true entrepreneurial spirit, Jane also studied therapeutic bodywork and received her national certification and state licensure as a massage and bodywork therapist as well as national certification in Healing Touch (Energy Medicine).   She maintains a private practice and stays busy with those activities during the off-season at Keep Your Fork Farm in Stokes County, NC which produced its first truffles in 2006.   That harvest brought a visit from Martha Stewart to share in the excitement.   She personally trained her Border Collie, Friday to find the truffles.   She is an experienced group facilitator and conducts tours of the orchards at the farm and speaks at various clubs and meetings.

Jane teaches part-time for Forsyth Technical Community College.  She volunteers weekly at Brenner Children’s Hospital at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.

Jane is a charter member and President of the North American Truffle Growers’ Association (NATGA), a member of Healing Touch International and a board member of StokesCORE.
